Interiors: materials, methods and options
Interior work varies hugely from one property to the next. These are the areas we cover most often and the details that make the difference to how a room lasts.
Layout changes and stud walls
Opening up two rooms, dividing a large space or moving a doorway changes how a home works. Non-structural stud walls can be added or removed quickly; where a wall is load-bearing, the structural requirements are dealt with before any work starts. Getting the layout right first means every later decision, from lighting to furniture, fits the room.
Plastering and wall finishes
Old lime plaster, blown patches and uneven walls are common in older Bromley and Beckenham homes. Depending on the wall, we skim, re-plaster or board and skim to give a sound, flat surface that takes paint cleanly and does not crack at the first sign of movement.
Joinery, doors and trim
Doors, architraves, skirting, built-in storage and shelving define the character of a room. Joinery is fitted after plastering and before final decoration, so joints are tight and paint lines are crisp.
Lighting and electrics
Socket positions, switch heights and lighting layouts are agreed at the planning stage and installed at first fix. That is the difference between a room that works and one with extension leads trailing across the floor.
Period and modern homes

Usually, yes. We plan the work room by room so you keep usable space, and we tell you in advance when a room will be out of use.
Do you handle the electrics and plastering, or do I need other trades?
We cover the whole job. We work with a network of experienced tradespeople and specialists and manage them ourselves, so you do not need to book anyone else.
Can you work on older homes in Bromley and Beckenham?
Yes. Many of the homes in our area are Victorian or Edwardian, and we adjust the approach to suit older walls, joinery and period details.
